Beverly is a marriage and family therapist who has worked in the community for over 13 years, specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorders. Her work with volatile and highly reactive individuals finds a new dimension with the adjunct of neurofeedback.


 

Specialty Focus

Management of highly volatile issues within the context of the family system. These issues can present as destructive behaviors within intimate relationships, anger, aggression, addictions and child abuse. She facilitates healing through the linking of trauma to the repetitive dysfunction within the family and to addictive patterns.

Experience

Beverly has a long history of public service. Early in her career she worked in detention centers and retreat homes to assist troubled adolescents.

She also worked as a registered nurse in critical care units and psychiatric units, and provided crisis intervention for acute psychiatric patients.

In 1996 she pursued her interest in psychology, and worked in institutions such as:
 

  • St. Vincent de Paul Shelter for the Homeless (San Diego)
  • The Family Service Center for Marines (Camp Pendleton)
  • Dr. Raese & Associates (Temecula)
In 2006, she developed Beverly Counseling Associated in Murrieta, CA. Over the years, her experience has included providing individual, family and group therapy for men, women and children.

Additionally, Beverly is a certified provider and the director of court-mandated groups including Anger Management, Domestic Violence, a Child Batterers’ Program, and Parenting Classes.
